Come, let us harvest the abundant thoughts of our ever-restless minds,
and burn them as a sacrifice upon the altar of our yearning hearts.

Welcome to Hearts to Heaven

The inspiration for Hearts to Heaven came to me as a vision of peace
and spiritual healing, distinguishing it from most other entrepreneurial endeavours.
The dream is to bring all of us around the world, brothers and sisters from
each and every spiritual tradition, closer to one another as well as to the mysterious
Source of everything through a deepened prayer life, exploration of the ancient
healing arts, and a stronger commitment to fostering peace.

Located in the gorgeous Hudson River Valley of New York state, we offer small
meditation and Kripalu Yoga classes of five students or less, to be sure that
everyone receives ample one on one attention from the instructor, as well as energy
work, such as Reiki treatments, and Reiki training.  We have recently moved our
studio to Highland/Plattekill from 504 Main Street in Beacon.

We also invite you to join us for classes in our new outdoor pavilion.
We promise a "bug free" experience in the great outdoors, as our pavilion is
completely screened-in for the best of both worlds!

If interested, please contact us to register for an upcoming meditation or Yoga class,
Reiki training, or a Reiki healing treatment. Private one on one Yoga instruction
is also available by appointment.

You may e-mail us at info@heartstoheaven.com or call us at 845 551 8789.

Welcome to Hearts to Heaven and enjoy!

what she had to offer in terms of yoga and relaxation because I
thought it would be good for the children and our program,'
said Kosloski. 'She was able to really use her skills to
incorporate every age group, have them feel comfortable, have
fun and relax. I was impressed with her ability to do that.'"

Letter to the Editor
Poughkeepsie Journal  April 10, 2008

Yoga with circus theme channels kids' energy

This letter is in reference to the article the Journal ran
last month, which featured my work as a yoga clown
("Clown plus yoga equals healthy fun," March 4)
My first Yoga class was 25 years ago, as an
adolescent, and it totally transformed my life. I wish to
share my love for the ancient healing arts of Yoga and
Meditation especially with inner-city children, who
might not have access to them otherwise.

Experience has proven that a one hour Yoga class,
taught in a very serious, straightforward way (as it is
presented to adults), seems to be too slow for many
high-energy children to enjoy. I began incorporating
Circus Arts into my kids' classes to engage the
children and found that most of them were better able
to focus during postures and meditation. By learning
how to channel their abundant energy in a
constructive way with the Circus Arts, the children
are more open to receiving the countless benefits
offered by Yoga and Meditation.

There are many formidable distractions that children
must contend with in our fast-paced society. Many
have difficulty sitting still and focusing their attention
inward quietly, as Yoga and Meditation often require.
In fact, some people argue that many of our children
are overly medicated in order to “calm them down”,
and we still do not know what the long-term
consequences of that may be. I fear that they could
very well prove to be catastrophic.

I am delighted to say that I have discovered a fun way
to engage our children while simultaneously teaching
them how to relax and focus inward.

Respectfully,
Zinnia the Yoga Clown
